Satellite maps have been prepared to be used for exploration works in this African country. Geological and geophysical survey has been made by the Czech consulting company Geofyzika a.s. Brno. Due to the lack of any sufficient maps of the area of interest in the north Cameroon, satellite scenes provided an effective view of the area. Four Landsat TM scenes were combined into one mosaic presented at the scale 1:500 000. Moreover, more detailed maps of selected sites at the scale 1:200 000 were produced. Basic topographic data were added to the multispectral colour combinations and printed together in reference coordination system.
