GISAT has been contracted by JRC to prepare the European satellite mosaic based on Image2000 Landsat ETM+ data. Orthorectified Landsat scenes were re-projected from the national projections into a common European coordinate system, panchromatic a multispectral scenes were separately mosaicked and pan-sharpened mosaic produced. In total almost 500 scenes have been processed and the final mosaic represented 500 GB of data.
