Data interpretation & analysis

Various methods of image data exploitation can be used to derive thematic information from satellite or airborne images. We apply different approaches (visual interpretation, pixel based classification, image segmentation, object-oriented image analysis, fuzzy oriented & context enabled classification) selected based on data to be analysed, thematic information to be interpreted and the assesment of the pros and cons of individual methods. Gisat has developed several processing chains to deal with routine data interpretation tasks, the methods focused on multidate change detection and assesment in particular.
